Really depends on what you plan to do. Stand back and hit from afar, then long, or flat, run in close and play tank, then short or horn, etc.

I don't think you want to get close if you are a barrage ranger, so I would say a longbow. My favourite longbow would look like this, with a barrage build.
vamperic longbow of fortitude.
max dmg.
15% while hp is above 50%
5/1 vaperic
+30 hp
This bow will cost you alot of money, I think over 100k.

100K that sounds crazy. Isn't there a collector that can give you a 15% above 50%? I know I use use one from a collector that is just below max. I think it's 14-26 15% ^ 50% as opposed to 15-28. I haven't made it to the desert yet. Now a vamp and fortitude won't cost that much. You did say money isn't an issue however. Anyway, Barrage sounds like you want to hit the group I thinke the question becomes whether or not they will stay "grouped" up if you hit from long range. A Long bow will let you get your damage off right away from a nice distance before they close. If they even close. Now that I'm typing this, chances are by the time they get close they'll be done. So yeah, go longbow.

You can get a collector one ofcourse, but if money isn't an issue, take a golden one. A golden one will cost 100k of more.

The best bow for barrage would be a short bow or flatbow if you have favorable winds up. You need the low arc of the shortbow for accuracy in case your winds gets taken down. I would use graygores zealus and dragos flatbow if I were going to be using a barrage build.

I find a short bow with a zealous string used with Barrage and Lightning Reflexes to work well. I agree Graygores Zealous would be a good choice here.
I am not familiar with Drago's Flatbow. What are the stats on it?

Hey Hendorr? if a collector's Longbow with the proper mods would do the job just exactly as well as a gold...why on God's/Melandru's green Earth would anyone in their right mind want to pay over a hundred thousand gold for the same blasted bow with a different-colored name? Hell, with a collector's you could even feel good about *GASP!* customizing it and squeaking out an extra 20% damage, without ruining what is obviously an investment for the future.
Collector's for the win! *Brandishes Collector's Zealous Ascalon (Short)bow of Sheltering with pride*
